Trend Tuesday: Colored Pants for Every Occasion
Posted by Natalie on Apr 23, 2012 in Blog | 302 commentsFrom pretty pastels to bright neons, colored pants continue to be all the rage this spring/summer. The trend is versatile and looks to be around for awhile, so if you haven’t yet, don’t be afraid to invest some time and money in finding your perfect pair. I’ve purchased more colored pants than I care to admit (all in the name of research, right?), and here are some of my favorites:
Gap 1969 Sexy Boyfriend Jeans: $69.95
I promise these are nearly as comfortable as my sweats. You can dress them down with oxfords or boat shoes and a chambray or dress them up with heels, a blouse, and blazer. In addition, the relaxed fit and straight leg line is ideal for anyone wanting to camouflage hips.
Joe’s Jeans Chelsea: $158
Just like a pair of perfect red heels, a red skinny jean can make you feel hot, hot, hot! This particular style has a higher rise, which helps with tummy control and is ideal for tucking in blouses.
J.Crew Hutton Trench Trouser: $89.99
If your dress code allows for a bit more creativity, try a colored trouser like this Hutton Trouser. I love pairing mine with a lace top and nude pumps or wedges. If a wide leg isn’t your thing, you can look for a cropped colored trouser like the J.Crew Cafe Capri.Â
J.Brand 811 Mid-rise Skinny: $169
Pastels are big this spring and summer—and this lilac is beautiful.  Pair your pastel denim with a flowy floral top to bring out a feminine style. You can add unexpected edge by layering the look with a leather jacket.
We want to know your favorite style of colored pants. What makes them the perfect pair?Â
